Our community rides attract lots of families, and the children ride along happily, confident that they are protected from traffic on the roads by plenty of friendly marshals. Clear signals from the ride leader show us the way. The busy junctions and crossings are safely marshalled.
Our ride leader led us through green places, up to Wolves Lane Allotments. We welcome small children – and a friendly furry dog – on our rides! The youngsters enjoy the company too; concentrating on keeping clear of each other is a good skill to learn. And at the end, there’s a huge sense of achievement. We cycled five miles! Smiles all round! We ended up back at Lordship Rec, just as the Flower and Produce show was getting started, and the food stalls were firing up, in time to enjoy the fun of the fair – and maybe an ice cream!
